My ongoing love for topshop lipsticks...

I love topshop lipsticks. I love topshop lipsticks so much and have done ever since I bought my first one, I only have three and I definitely want to buy some more and I'm sure my collection will keep on growing haha! The three topshop lipsticks I have are Trigger, Called up and the most recent one I've bought is called Beatnik.

Top swatch is, Trigger, middle is Called up and bottom is Beatnik.

I absolutely love the texture of these lipsticks, the ones I have are all cream lipsticks and therefore have a cream finish but you can also get lipsticks which have a shimmer to them. Personally I don't like too much shimmer on the lips and I prefer the more matte look. I think these are all such beautiful colours, and they have such great pigmentation; they stay on forever (not literally forever) but they are very long lasting and don't move off your lips for ages! Because I have fair skin I find that these colours suit my skin tone so well, if you have fairer skin I think that you really need to have a darker lipstick to really accentuate your skin tone and really compliment it with the contrast between light and dark. The Beatnik isn't as dark as the others but I still find it compliments my skin tone really well, I really wanted a nude lipstick but I found that the lighter nudes really didn't suit me but this one did. It's a beautiful rose pink nude and is slightly darker than my normal skin tone, this colour is beautiful for spring and summer and I can't wait to be wearing it more! The good thing about these lipsticks are that they are so reasonable too, such good value for how good quality they are, £8 is amazing and I would definitely recommend them, love love love them.

This is me wearing 'Trigger'

Wearing 'Called Up' as you can see called up is much more of a purple tone than a red like trigger.(sorry for the poor lighting)

No.7 instant radiance highlighter review

Hey guys sorry it's been a while I've been so busy with exams so I haven't had time to blog but I'm back with another blog post!

Very recently I bought the No.7 instant radiance highlighter and I was so impressed! I saw one of Lily Pebbles' YouTube video mentioning it and I think she also did a blog post about it so I thought I would try it out for myself.

This is so beautiful, it gives a real shimmer to your cheek bones and brings them out. It's a creamy like texture and is like a chubby stick. I love this applicator because it's so easy to apply, and it glides on so smoothly. I really like the consistency of this, you can rub it in, and blend it really easily and it looks so effective once you've contoured.
Excuse the lipstick on my hand, I swatched a lipstick earlier and surprise surprise it won't come off haha (oops).

As a lot of Beauty bloggers have mentioned before it is exactly the same as the benefit Watts up highlighter, just a much cheaper version! The No.7 one is £9.95 from Boots and the benefit Watts Up is £24 so there's a big difference! They do the exact same thing the only difference being the applicator but I actually prefer the No.7 applicator so I would definitely recommend saving some money and getting the No.7 instead!

I never used to use a highlighter but I have realised that they are quite important and really finish a look. Especially as it's spring and summer coming up you want more of a dewy/fresh make up look and by using a highlighter it gives you a beautiful glow and makes you more radiant.

Hope you've liked this post, speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

Having curly hair!

Hey guys, today I thought I would tell you about my hair routine, I have curly hair which can be sometimes proned to frizziness so I thought that this could help anyone that has curly/frizzy hair like me; I know I find it interesting looking at how others do their hair and their own tips so maybe some of you will find this interesting haha!

Curly hair needs a lot of moisture because it can often get dry and damaged more easily, so because of this I use the tresemme keratin smooth shampoo and conditioner. I always leave my conditioner on for 2-3 minutes as it recommends to give my hair as much moisture as possible! I also comb through my hair when it's wet because as everyone with curly hair knows you can't brush it when it's dry because it will go so big and fluffy hahaha! I find these so great and good for my hair, my hair always feels really nice and soft after using this and it definitely controls the frizz! This shampoo and conditioner are £5 each, so reasonable! Such a good price for such a good product.

After getting out the shower, I brush my hair and them use the John Frieda Frizz Ease serum and then towel dry my hair and leave to dry naturally. I've been using this serum for so many years and I find it so good to use and it works really well! Only thing I would say is that it sometimes locks in the moisture so some bits of your hair can sometimes become a little bit crispy on your hair which is not good! So if you do use this I would recommend only using a pea size to make sure that doesn't happen. This serum is £6.29 for the 50ml and £12.58 for the 100ml so still pretty reasonable!

Only very recently have I bought the Silky Curls Intensive Mask by Umberto Giannini, and the Umberto Giannini Smoothy Curls Anti-frizz hair serum. I've never used this brand before and whilst I was in boots I saw it and thought I would give it a try, I've never used a hair mask before and because I want to keep my hair in good condition for prom I thought I would use this one and give it a try!  I haven't been using these for very long, so I can't tell you much about them as it always takes a week or two for your hair to get used to new products, but I will make sure to post a review on these!

If any of you have any tips for curly hair I would love to hear them so comment below if you do, I love hearing about what other people do to deal with their curls haha! Speak to you soon, love Chloe xxx

Boots beauty haul!

Hey guys! The other day I went to boots and I bought quite a lot! So I thought I would tell you what I bought and what I think of them, and also whether I think they're worth buying or not.

The first item I'm going to talk about is the Soap and Glory 'glow job' which was £11. What this is, is a radiance moisturiser which you use daily in the mornings. I really like this product, I have quite fair skin and so if I don't wear any foundation which I often don't I can sometimes look a bit washed out but since I've been using this I can tell the difference straight away! It works in a way a tinted moisturiser would; I've never particularly got on with tinted moisturisers, I find they can sometimes go a bit patchy but that's definitely not the case with this. It's not orange either, it's just a tiny glow, it makes you feel and look so radiant, I've never been a fan of fake tan and I've never used it but this is a much more natural alternative, and which leaves your skin feeling great. It's also good for dry skin, it's the same as a moisturise but with an added bonus haha! Only thing I would say is that the smell isn't great, it's not disgusting but it's not as nice as the other soap and glory smells; with soap and glory you would expect it to smell gorgeous but this moisturiser doesn't. Apart from that though a great product, which I would definitely recommend if you have fair skin like me.

This is the Bourjous Paris 3D effect volume and shine gloss, in the shade 48 and this was £8. To match with this I also bought the Maxfaxtor colour elixir lip liner, for £4.99. I think these colours suit each other so well! I love this lipgloss, it's so shiny and beautiful it really shimmers in the light, it's a beautiful rosy pink colour with specs of gold going through. It gives so much hydration to your lips, some lip glosses dry your lips out but this one definitely doesn't, and this lasts for up to 8 hours! When lip glosses say this I don't often believe it but it actually did stay on my lips for that long, although does fade off when you drunk a drink etc. I can't fault this product I think it makes your lips look so pretty and would recommend everyone to get it! With the lip liner, if I'm being honest I don't find it does much for my lips especially not this shade; I've never tried a lip liner out before so I thought I would but I don't think I would have seen a difference if I had have worn it or not so I wouldn't recommend the lip liner.

I thought I would venture out of my comfort zone a bit and get a new mascara, I've always used the Maybelline The Falsies mascara which I've loved but I thought I would try the new Maybelline Big Eyes mascara in black which was £8.99. I think this mascara is so good, as soon as I used it once I loved it, it really opens up your eyes. I love the way there is two brushes as well, I never really used to bother with my bottom lashes but this tiny brush makes it so easy and really gives a good effect. I would recommend this to anyone! I love it.

I love real techniques brushes; I think they're a must have because I find them so amazing to use and they're easy to clean. I bought the Expert Face brush,£10 and the shading brush, £8. There is not a flaw in these brushes they're flawless, they are so soft and nice on your skin and really do what they're meant to (I know that sounds a silly thing to say but some brushes just don't do their job but these do) I just love these brushes, definitely a must have for everyone!

I saw this nail varnish on the shelf and just thought I had to get it, it's new and it really stood out to me, it's the seventeen colour clash and this was £7. I just thought this looked so cool so I had to buy it! I love the effect it gives on your nails, you can just wear it with nothing underneath like I've done in the picture below or you can wear it over the top of a colour, either way it's such a pretty nail varnish.

Now on to eyeshadow; I've never really worn much eyeshadow but I've fallen in love with this palette, this palette is called Big eyes from Maybelline and was £6.99, so reasonable! These eyeshadows are so pretty, they're so shimmery and beautiful! They are so natural too so they would go with any outfit you're wearing, I particularly love the colour on the top right hand corner, that's my favourite but I love them all. I find that these colour really compliment my green eyes, so if you have green eyes I would definitely recommend wearing these colours on your eyes it really makes them stand out.

Finally the last thing I'm going to show you is the Maxfaxtor lipfinity colour and gloss and I got it in the colour Radiant Red and this was £10. I love this! It works as a two step, first you out the colour on, and this colour works as a stain so once it goes on it does not budge! Literally, I tested it on my hand and it wouldn't come off my hand for two days! But anyway, you put the colour on and then the gloss and the gloss just gives such a pretty effect. This lasts for such a long time and is just such a great lipgloss I love the formula and the pigmentation of it, it's really great and definitely worth your money! I can't wait to wear this colour more in the summer I think the brightness of it will definitely go with any summer outfit.

Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you've found this post interesting haha! What's your favourite beauty item you've bought recently? Speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

Soap and Glory 'Scrub your nose in it' review

Hey guys, I thought I would do a review on the Soap and Glory's 'scrub your nose in it' facial scrub. I've been finding it really useful and helpful for my skin and would definitely recommend it! The good thing about this is that it not only is a really good skincare product it's also really reasonable and lasts for such a long time, it's £9 and you can get it from any boots store, or super drug; or if you don't have a boots or superdrug near you, you can order from the soap and glory website, www.soapandglory.com. My skins never really been problematic (touch wood haha) but I do often get the odd breakout, as anyone does, and I've found that this face scrub really helps to control that. The formula is so smooth and lovely, it also smells gorgeous too, I hate it when some facial scrubs smell a bit clinical, but this smells so lovely and refreshing.

You apply this face scrub to your T-zone, well this is what it recommends but if there are any areas on your cheeks for example which are causing you problems then you can also apply it to them. This face scrub makes your skin feel so refreshed after you've used it, it helps to exfoliate your skin and get really deep into your pores to de-clog them from any dirt or dead skin cells. By de-clogging your pores it really makes a difference because it prevents getting breakouts, this is very important for your skin.

Some face scrubs can leave your skin feeling really dry but this is definitely not the case, it's so nourishing! But not to the extent where it's too much, it's just right, and makes your skin feel so healthy. What you do to apply this is, squeeze a pea sized amount onto the palm of your hand and then gently apply to your t-zone rubbing it in using small circles, once you feel you've rubbed it in and spread it out, leave it for 2/3 minutes. After the 2/3 minutes wipe off with warm water.

I use this face scrub at night, every fortnight, the reason I use it every fortnight is because you don't want to dry your skin out and your face also produces natural oils and it's important to have them, so you should leave a week at least between using this product.

I actually tested out not using this face scrub for a bit and with some skincare products you can't tell, but with this I definitely could, my skin did not feel as healthy at all and I started to get a few spots, it really showed to me how good this face scrub is and how much of a difference it can make to my skin!

I would recommend this face scrub for any skin type, I think it would work for all, whether your face is really oily or really dry, it's perfect for any, my skin isn't either of those things it's more in the middle but does seem to get dry sometimes and I find this really helps to nourish my skin. I would say that if you do buy this product you also get the soap and glory 'the righteous butter' or any moisturiser will do, just to really finish it off, this makes your skin feel even more revived and fresh, also by putting this on at night before bed makes me feel so much more awake and ready for the day. If you're looking for a new facial scrub to try or just looking for a facial scrub I would definitely recommend this one!

Hope you've enjoyed this post and found it useful, I haven't done a review blog post before so hope you liked it haha! Speak to you soon, love Chloe xxx

Jewellery sort out!

Hey guys, I've recently been sorting out my jewellery box and I thought I would share with you some of the jewellery I've been loving lately, some of these are recent buys but there are also some which I've had for a longer time.

The first item I'm going to show you is this beautiful necklace, this was a quite recent buy, I bought this last month from Topshop in the sale for £10, I thought this was such a good price I just had to get it. I love the colours in this necklace, it's a mixture between blue and green and I don't think it's that clear on the picture but when the light hits the necklace the colours change; I love this, it reminds me of them kaleidoscopes you used to have as a child haha! This necklace isn't a massive statement necklace but against a more plainer outfit it will really stand out. I love how this necklace is in the same of a bug too, it's just a really interesting shape and I've had quite a lot of compliments about this necklace! I have only worn this necklace as an evening necklace but I definitely think that it could be worn in the day time too as a more smart casual look.

This next necklace I also got from Topshop recently, this necklace was also reasonable, from what I recall it was about £8.50, that's what I love about Topshop jewellery it's so reasonable and so nice! I really love this necklace, I think it's so cute. I wear this necklace quite a lot especially in the day, I love wearing little necklaces like this in the day I really think it makes your outfit look so much better, the smallest things make a difference. I love the little stone on this necklace, I used to have a weird obsession with collecting these type of stones/gems when I was younger and this reminds me of that, I just think it's so pretty.

These are a few rings which I've been wearing a lot, and these are all from Topshop (you can tell how much I love Topshop haha). This first ring I bought last year in the summer time so it's quite old compared to the other items I have shown you, in fact all of these rings are quite a lot older. I love this ring, I think out of all my rings this one is definitely my favourite, I love how it has quite an antique look to it, and I also love the little gem stone in the middle. I have worn this so much, in the day time and in the evening, it's perfect for anything and I find it easy to match with whatever I'm wearing too.

This next ring also looks quite antique, it's so different to anything I've seen before and I don't think I've come across anything like it since I bought it! This is the oldest item I'm going to show you, I've had this for a very long time and as you can see it has been worn a lot. I've had this ring for over a year now and I just think it's so beautiful, I love the locket and how it opens up, I just think that's so cool in a ring, I've never seen anything like it before! I also love the detailing on this ring, the little pearls looks so pretty and the pattern is so cute, I love it. I still haven't put a picture in there yet (oops) but when I find a small enough picture I will definitely be putting one in haha!

These last two rings came as a pair and I really like them, I'm also really loving midi rings, I definitely want to get more of them, I just think they look so cute especially when you're wearing a ring on your index finger. I think these rings are perfect for any occasion and I love them.

I hope you've enjoyed this post! Speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

Kurt Geiger bargain!

  1. Today I have received my first ever pair of designer shoes! I've never really looked at any of the more designer brands because they have always been very expensive and over my budget. But as some people may know Kurt Geiger have a big sale going on at the moment and I managed to find such a beautiful pair of heels reduced from £190 to £59, such a bargain! I have never been a massive high heel lover as I'm already quite tall and I tend to find high heels uncomfortable to wear and walk around on, but these heels are so perfect for me.
Isabella by Kurt Geiger

The heel is 5 inches which from my point of view is the perfect heel size, it's not too low but not too high either. I am
planning on wearing these shoes to my prom in July and therefore didn't want my heels to be too big as I definitely don't want to be taller than my boyfriend and also I don't want to be feeling uncomfortable for the whole night, so these shoes are the perfect solution for that.

For someone who doesn't often wear heels a lot it can sometimes be hard to walk in them and feel supported, but this heel is definitely ideal for anyone new to wearing heels haha! It has an ankle strap and this really supports you while you're walking. As well as the ankle strap, the heel is quite thick which is also so good for support, overall this is such a comfortable pair of heels and I would highly recommend getting a pair like this.

I absolutely love the pattern on these shoes, the crocodile print is so beautiful and the silver really makes it stand out and makes the shoe even more beautiful. I love how when the light hits the back of silver it makes the heel so shimmery and creates such an exquisite effect, this is definitely something that will stand out! Ombré is very in at the moment too and I love how the shoe goes into silver from the white, it's so pretty and perfect for any time of year,
particularly summer which is perfect for me. The only thing I will say about white shoes is that it can be very easy to scuff them and get them dirty but hopefully this won't happen. I would say this is more of an evening shoe but you could easily wear it in the day with the right outfit to go with it!

These shoes have been made so well too, you can tell it's very good quality, which it should be for the amount of money it's worth haha!  But with some designer brands the shoes look nice but don't seem to be made that well but I can tell these shoes are going to last me a long time. The leather is so soft too and makes them even more
comfortable to wear. I hope you have enjoyed my first blog post, speak to you soon! Love Chloe xxx
