How to accentuate green eyes-tips!

I'm no beautician or beauty expert at all haha! But recently I have been experimenting more with my eye make up and I thought I would share it with you. The best colours for green eyes are purples and browns, these colours will really accentuate and bring out the colour making your eyes stand out! Here are a few steps that I have been doing and the eyeshadows that I have been using! This is before and after, you can really see the difference! (Excuse the lighting changes in these pictures, I was using natural light).

The naked pallette is very expensive, but there are many dupes that you can use, such as Rimmel have many many quadrat pallettes for such a reasonable price.
Can we just have a moment to take in how beautiful this pallette is please!! I love it so much it's so pretty haha!

The colours that I am using for this look are; trick and nooner.
In the pictures for some reason trick seems to come up as a more orangey tone, but it is infact more brown than it shows up!

1. Apply trick all over the lid.

2. Then using a crease brush or just a small eyeshadow brush put nooner into the crease and bring it out, I think these colours really do look good together!

3. Then with a small thin brush use trick as like an eyeliner underneath your lower lash line, this really brings out your eyes more, and is also a good alternative to black eyeliner as I sometimes find that it is a bit too harsh for my features.

4. Then once you've done that, apply mascara- I use the maybelline the falsies! But any mascara will do. And then you're done!

Only a few simple steps and then it's done! You can really see how it's brightened my eyes up and made them pop haha, I hope you've enjoyed this post, let me know if you would like to see more things like this, speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

Chokers can be pretty!

Recently I have seen a lot of bloggers loving chokers, they seem to be very in at the moment and I think they look so good!! But the only problem that I was finding was that the chokers I was seeing were more edgy, too edgy for me, and didn't suit my style as much. But then I came across this one! I've never seen such a pretty choker!! It's beautiful, I instantly had to get it. This choker is from topshop and was £12.50 so not the cheapest but definitely worth it and I know I'm going to get a lot of wear out of it. I love the detailing with the flowers I just think it's so pretty, and I love the gems surrounding the big daisy! I could literally talk about how much I love this for hours and hours but I just wanted to share this with you because if you're like me and are a bit girly then this is perfect.

This is what I have paired this choker with, I wore it to a party with a yellow bralet and white skirt- perfect summery look! The great thing about this choker is it can be for daytime or night time, loveeeeeee it!!!

Hope you have enjoyed this post, and speak to you sooon, love Chloe xxx

Hair Re-discovery, the feather and charm hair grip!

I would like to begin this to say that I am sorry that it has been sooooooo long since I have posted! I have just finished year 11 and the past 2 months have been all exams and with all of the revising and stress I haven't had time to post, but now I have 11 weeks off so I will have time for loads to make up for it! Most recently I have been obsessed with this hair grip, I came across it in my jewellery box and I couldn't believe that I had forgotten about it! These feather and charm hair grips are so so pretty and I really think that they are perfect for accessorising any summer outfit, and also perfect for festival season. I love how they blend in with your hair and just really make it look interesting- I find that if you're having a bad hair day like I often wear this as they are so good to cover that up haha and distract from the mess! I have had this now for a couple of years, but I've only really began to wear it, I love the little details on it too. I think the coins on it are so cute, for some reason they make me feel like I'm someone from the pirates of the Caribbean haha, maybe I'm just weird but it just reminds me of that hahaha! I find these colours really compliment the tones of my hair colour but you can get many different colours to suit all hair colours! Mine is from topshop, but they don't sell it anymore but here is a link to one which is so similar and really reasonable too, if any of you are interested in buying one; http://m.asos.com/mt/www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Feather-Charms-Hair-Grip/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3654398&SearchQuery=Feather%20hair%20grip&Rf-700=1000&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=50&sort=-1&clr=Multi
Here are some photos of the feather and charm hair clip and me wearing it, hope you've liked this post, sorry its been a while! Love chloe xxx

Fashion designers sketchbooks by Hywel Davies- a book I have beenloving!

I thought I would do something a bit different and tell you all about this book that I have been loving so much! I love looking at fashion and designing and things like that and this is just such a good book to read if you're into fashion like me!

The front cover of the book is really quirky and nice, I particularly like the design on the front and how it's also got a hard back to it. This book is filled with so many well known designers including       and it's so intruiging looking at their ideas and how it all started, especially Vivian Westwood I found that particularly interesting! I think it's so cool to have an insight into the designers mind, not only does it just have pictures and sketches it has fabric samples in there too to show the process of the designs. So good for anyone who is thinking about going into fashion designing or just wants some inspiration
These are some of my favourite pages from the book, I just love looking at this kind of thing!

This book is quite expensive it's originally £28 pounds but you can get in on amazon for £18.99 which is quite good considering the thickness of the book and how good the content of it is, I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in fashion.

Just to let you all know that I am going to try to aim to post on a Wednesday (so a mid week post like today) and then on a Saturday, I have a lot of exams coming up so if I'm not posting as frequently that's why but I am going to at least post once a week! Hope you've liked this post, speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

My latest discovery- Verity Anne!

I know that I don't usually post on Tuesdays but I got so excited about this that I just couldn't wait to post it!

This is a clothing line which I have discovered very recently and I think it is all beautiful. It is called Verity Anne and all of the clothes are handmade by the designer herself! There are some beautiful pieces for the summer, I particularly like the two pieces, I will definitely be purchasing some of these very soon!! I think that they are just so unique and I love how they do up at the back too, I mentioned this in my prom dress post but I love backless anything, anything which is backless I just instantly love haha.

All of these designs are so original too and I haven't really seen anything quite like them, especially how the back tied up with the ribbon, love it!

I would definitely recommend checking out her website http://verityanne.bigcartel.com all pieces are so reasonable and just so beautiful, this is something I'm really excited about and can't wait to receive some of these!

I hope you've enjoyed this post, speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

Ps. All of these photos are not my own, these are from the Verity Anne website.

Adding a pop of colour to an outfit...

This is a look that I've really been liking recently, I love black, it's possibly my favourite colour to wear! I think it's so slimming on anyone and it's so easy to wear, it can be dressed up or dressed down.

This outfit is a recent purchase of mine and I really love this skort in particular, skorts are really in at the moment and I think they are so practical. This skort is from topshop, in fact all of this outfit is from topshop! Apart from the shoes haha! It was £32 so quite expensive but definitely worth the money and I know I'll get so much wear from it. I love these off the shoulder tops too, this was £10 and so practical, you can wear it with any outfit! The shoes are from missguided, £18 so reasonable!

I've decided to accesorize this outfit and add a pop of colour and I thought the perfect colour to do this is blue! It's an aqua blue and I'm just loving this colour at the moment. The nail varnish is from Rimmel and it's from their 60 seconds range in the shade sky high (keep your eyes peeled for a post on them soon). These necklaces came in a set from topshop and they were £16, I love layering jewellery! The earrings also from topshop, £6, and the ring from urban outfitters for £8. Adding a pop of colour to a black outfit is just so nice! And it makes your outfit so much prettier, and really just brightens your whole outfit up!

I hope you've liked this post, speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

My fairy light obsession/new fairy lights!

I really love fairy lights! They're so pretty and I think that they're a perfect accessory for your room they make such a difference, but instead of just buying the plain lights I thought I would show you these really pretty flower fairy lights I found! I thought these were too pretty not to share with you.

They are so so pretty and I love them so much! They are from urban outfitters and are £28 so quite expensive but definitely worth the money! Speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

Smashbox full exposure palette review

It was my birthday recently and my friends kindly bought me the smashbox full exposure eye palette! I love it. I have a big love for nude palettes anyway but I think this is just so beautiful, it has the perfect shades for everyday and for an evening out, so perfect for any event, I have heard some mixed reviews about this palette but personally I really like it.

What I love most about this palette is how it has absolutely everything you need, it comes with 7 matte shades and 7 shimmers, there is a highlight shade, a transition shade and brow colours (if you like to fill in your brows with eyeshadow), and the matte black colour for an eyeliner-perfect! The pigmentation with the shimmer could be better but you can get the perfect pigmentation you want just by layering it up.

I really like how for each shade there is a shimmer to match, the one which I've been loving layering recently is the third set, this colour really suits my eye colour, so for anyone with green eyes look for warmer tones like these to really compliment and bring out your eyes.

What I found really useful was the little leaflet that it came with, it tells you all about how to apply eyeshadow best for your eye shape so for beginners or even people who use eyeshadow it's really helpful and teaches you more about your eye shape and what suits you best. It also gives you three steps to three different looks for each eye shape which I think is really good because it gives you more ideas to experiment- overall I found this leaflet very handy and I haven't really seen a palette which comes with a leaflet like this before, it's very good for beginners like me haha!

The brush it came with is also very good this may sound odd but as I'm sure many of you who have bought eye shadow palettes have found in the past the brushes aren't that great, often I use my real techniques brushes but this brush is really good and I think it blends really well, there is two sides to it, one for shimmer and one for matte, I think its good to keep the matte and shimmer separate.

Overall I'm so impressed with this and have fallen in love! Would definitely recommend it to everyone who loves a nude palette or even to anyone who is just starting to experiment with eyeshadows this is a great every day palette. I hope you've liked this post speak to you soon! Love Chloe xxx

My visit to Elliot Clare, prom dress shopping/advice

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted! There has been so much going on I just haven't had the time but to make it up, I will be posting three posts in the next three days!

I have been searching around for a prom dress for ages and I finally went to try on this one I found online from a boutique called www.elliotclare.com, they have a showroom in london in hatton gardens, which I went to visit and it was so pretty, I have a bit of an obsession with fairy lights and the fairy lights outside were so pretty and so was the decor inside!

When I arrived I saw the dress that I wanted but it was different from what it appeared to be online, but I then got to speak to the designer. This was a really good experience for me and I loved talking to her and learning more about how she designs the dresses, it was quite inspiring for me really as this is what I hope to do one day! After talking to the designer we worked out how to make the dress how I wanted it and this is what my dress looks like...

I thought this post might be useful so some people who like me have a prom coming up this year. I didn't really know what colours suited me and what colour dress to get and I went looking around and couldn't find one I liked for ages. I have quite fair skin so to bring that out and make me stand out I got recommended by someone to look at light/ice blues, I'm not really a blue kind of person and often like to stay a bit more safe and not as bold but I looked around anyway; I found out after trying a few on I didn't like it. But then I came across this dress, and it's such a beautiful rosy pink- if you're struggling to find a dress and you're fair skinned like me try a light pink dress!

The back is so beautiful, I've struggled to find a dress with a lower back and I can't believe how lucky I am to have found one like this it's so unique and I just love it.

Colours that suit fairer skin;
Emerald green
Navy blue
Icy blue
Rosy pink
Reds (depending on how fair your skin is, it could be too overpowering)

If you have fair skin avoid earthy tones such as beige, orange, creams and terracottas because they will just wash you out completely!

Colours that suit warmer/darker skin tones;
Beiges
Creams
Light blues
Blacks and greys
Browns
Pastels

If you have a warmer/darker skin tone then avoid dull colours like navy and browns, yellow and green because you'll find they don't suit you as well, it may be different for some people so you can try it out but they aren't meant to suit your skin tone.

I hope that this post has been of some help to some people, or if not you've still liked it haha, speak to you soon, love Chloe xxx

My ongoing love for topshop lipsticks...

I love topshop lipsticks. I love topshop lipsticks so much and have done ever since I bought my first one, I only have three and I definitely want to buy some more and I'm sure my collection will keep on growing haha! The three topshop lipsticks I have are Trigger, Called up and the most recent one I've bought is called Beatnik.

Top swatch is, Trigger, middle is Called up and bottom is Beatnik.

I absolutely love the texture of these lipsticks, the ones I have are all cream lipsticks and therefore have a cream finish but you can also get lipsticks which have a shimmer to them. Personally I don't like too much shimmer on the lips and I prefer the more matte look. I think these are all such beautiful colours, and they have such great pigmentation; they stay on forever (not literally forever) but they are very long lasting and don't move off your lips for ages! Because I have fair skin I find that these colours suit my skin tone so well, if you have fairer skin I think that you really need to have a darker lipstick to really accentuate your skin tone and really compliment it with the contrast between light and dark. The Beatnik isn't as dark as the others but I still find it compliments my skin tone really well, I really wanted a nude lipstick but I found that the lighter nudes really didn't suit me but this one did. It's a beautiful rose pink nude and is slightly darker than my normal skin tone, this colour is beautiful for spring and summer and I can't wait to be wearing it more! The good thing about these lipsticks are that they are so reasonable too, such good value for how good quality they are, £8 is amazing and I would definitely recommend them, love love love them.

This is me wearing 'Trigger'

Wearing 'Called Up' as you can see called up is much more of a purple tone than a red like trigger.(sorry for the poor lighting)
This is me wearing 'Beatnik'

No.7 instant radiance highlighter review

Hey guys sorry it's been a while I've been so busy with exams so I haven't had time to blog but I'm back with another blog post!

Very recently I bought the No.7 instant radiance highlighter and I was so impressed! I saw one of Lily Pebbles' YouTube video mentioning it and I think she also did a blog post about it so I thought I would try it out for myself.

This is so beautiful, it gives a real shimmer to your cheek bones and brings them out. It's a creamy like texture and is like a chubby stick. I love this applicator because it's so easy to apply, and it glides on so smoothly. I really like the consistency of this, you can rub it in, and blend it really easily and it looks so effective once you've contoured.
Excuse the lipstick on my hand, I swatched a lipstick earlier and surprise surprise it won't come off haha (oops).

As a lot of Beauty bloggers have mentioned before it is exactly the same as the benefit Watts up highlighter, just a much cheaper version! The No.7 one is £9.95 from Boots and the benefit Watts Up is £24 so there's a big difference! They do the exact same thing the only difference being the applicator but I actually prefer the No.7 applicator so I would definitely recommend saving some money and getting the No.7 instead!

I never used to use a highlighter but I have realised that they are quite important and really finish a look. Especially as it's spring and summer coming up you want more of a dewy/fresh make up look and by using a highlighter it gives you a beautiful glow and makes you more radiant.

Hope you've liked this post, speak to you soon love Chloe xxx

Having curly hair!

Hey guys, today I thought I would tell you about my hair routine, I have curly hair which can be sometimes proned to frizziness so I thought that this could help anyone that has curly/frizzy hair like me; I know I find it interesting looking at how others do their hair and their own tips so maybe some of you will find this interesting haha!

Curly hair needs a lot of moisture because it can often get dry and damaged more easily, so because of this I use the tresemme keratin smooth shampoo and conditioner. I always leave my conditioner on for 2-3 minutes as it recommends to give my hair as much moisture as possible! I also comb through my hair when it's wet because as everyone with curly hair knows you can't brush it when it's dry because it will go so big and fluffy hahaha! I find these so great and good for my hair, my hair always feels really nice and soft after using this and it definitely controls the frizz! This shampoo and conditioner are £5 each, so reasonable! Such a good price for such a good product.

After getting out the shower, I brush my hair and them use the John Frieda Frizz Ease serum and then towel dry my hair and leave to dry naturally. I've been using this serum for so many years and I find it so good to use and it works really well! Only thing I would say is that it sometimes locks in the moisture so some bits of your hair can sometimes become a little bit crispy on your hair which is not good! So if you do use this I would recommend only using a pea size to make sure that doesn't happen. This serum is £6.29 for the 50ml and £12.58 for the 100ml so still pretty reasonable!

Only very recently have I bought the Silky Curls Intensive Mask by Umberto Giannini, and the Umberto Giannini Smoothy Curls Anti-frizz hair serum. I've never used this brand before and whilst I was in boots I saw it and thought I would give it a try, I've never used a hair mask before and because I want to keep my hair in good condition for prom I thought I would use this one and give it a try!  I haven't been using these for very long, so I can't tell you much about them as it always takes a week or two for your hair to get used to new products, but I will make sure to post a review on these!

If any of you have any tips for curly hair I would love to hear them so comment below if you do, I love hearing about what other people do to deal with their curls haha! Speak to you soon, love Chloe xxx

Boots beauty haul!

Hey guys! The other day I went to boots and I bought quite a lot! So I thought I would tell you what I bought and what I think of them, and also whether I think they're worth buying or not.

The first item I'm going to talk about is the Soap and Glory 'glow job' which was £11. What this is, is a radiance moisturiser which you use daily in the mornings. I really like this product, I have quite fair skin and so if I don't wear any foundation which I often don't I can sometimes look a bit washed out but since I've been using this I can tell the difference straight away! It works in a way a tinted moisturiser would; I've never particularly got on with tinted moisturisers, I find they can sometimes go a bit patchy but that's definitely not the case with this. It's not orange either, it's just a tiny glow, it makes you feel and look so radiant, I've never been a fan of fake tan and I've never used it but this is a much more natural alternative, and which leaves your skin feeling great. It's also good for dry skin, it's the same as a moisturise but with an added bonus haha! Only thing I would say is that the smell isn't great, it's not disgusting but it's not as nice as the other soap and glory smells; with soap and glory you would expect it to smell gorgeous but this moisturiser doesn't. Apart from that though a great product, which I would definitely recommend if you have fair skin like me.

This is the Bourjous Paris 3D effect volume and shine gloss, in the shade 48 and this was £8. To match with this I also bought the Maxfaxtor colour elixir lip liner, for £4.99. I think these colours suit each other so well! I love this lipgloss, it's so shiny and beautiful it really shimmers in the light, it's a beautiful rosy pink colour with specs of gold going through. It gives so much hydration to your lips, some lip glosses dry your lips out but this one definitely doesn't, and this lasts for up to 8 hours! When lip glosses say this I don't often believe it but it actually did stay on my lips for that long, although does fade off when you drunk a drink etc. I can't fault this product I think it makes your lips look so pretty and would recommend everyone to get it! With the lip liner, if I'm being honest I don't find it does much for my lips especially not this shade; I've never tried a lip liner out before so I thought I would but I don't think I would have seen a difference if I had have worn it or not so I wouldn't recommend the lip liner.

I thought I would venture out of my comfort zone a bit and get a new mascara, I've always used the Maybelline The Falsies mascara which I've loved but I thought I would try the new Maybelline Big Eyes mascara in black which was £8.99. I think this mascara is so good, as soon as I used it once I loved it, it really opens up your eyes. I love the way there is two brushes as well, I never really used to bother with my bottom lashes but this tiny brush makes it so easy and really gives a good effect. I would recommend this to anyone! I love it.

I love real techniques brushes; I think they're a must have because I find them so amazing to use and they're easy to clean. I bought the Expert Face brush,£10 and the shading brush, £8. There is not a flaw in these brushes they're flawless, they are so soft and nice on your skin and really do what they're meant to (I know that sounds a silly thing to say but some brushes just don't do their job but these do) I just love these brushes, definitely a must have for everyone!

I saw this nail varnish on the shelf and just thought I had to get it, it's new and it really stood out to me, it's the seventeen colour clash and this was £7. I just thought this looked so cool so I had to buy it! I love the effect it gives on your nails, you can just wear it with nothing underneath like I've done in the picture below or you can wear it over the top of a colour, either way it's such a pretty nail varnish.

Now on to eyeshadow; I've never really worn much eyeshadow but I've fallen in love with this palette, this palette is called Big eyes from Maybelline and was £6.99, so reasonable! These eyeshadows are so pretty, they're so shimmery and beautiful! They are so natural too so they would go with any outfit you're wearing, I particularly love the colour on the top right hand corner, that's my favourite but I love them all. I find that these colour really compliment my green eyes, so if you have green eyes I would definitely recommend wearing these colours on your eyes it really makes them stand out.

Finally the last thing I'm going to show you is the Maxfaxtor lipfinity colour and gloss and I got it in the colour Radiant Red and this was £10. I love this! It works as a two step, first you out the colour on, and this colour works as a stain so once it goes on it does not budge! Literally, I tested it on my hand and it wouldn't come off my hand for two days! But anyway, you put the colour on and then the gloss and the gloss just gives such a pretty effect. This lasts for such a long time and is just such a great lipgloss I love the formula and the pigmentation of it, it's really great and definitely worth your money! I can't wait to wear this colour more in the summer I think the brightness of it will definitely go with any summer outfit.

Thank you for reading my blog, I hope you've found this post interesting haha! What's your favourite beauty item you've bought recently? Speak to you soon love Chloe xxx
